I spent thousands on torturing my best friend,just trying to get 6 months more Love.. I wish I didn’t, and could have gone thru the whole thing with her naturally…so now,I will ask my pet what THEY want and go thru it with them.. the animals let you know.. I had an 18 year old dog once look at me and tell me it was okay to take that Final shot , and it was heartbreaking but better - because I asked The Animal What It Wanted

As each day passes, we don't know the level of pain they may be suffering from. It's the hardest thing to do...but it really is the best for them. I feel as if I'm being selfish for making them live in pain just so that I feel better...I love all of our cats and would never do anything I thought was not good for them.

	♥ 8:26am dday: Dax, Dave & Strandlund. All interesting takes on a difficult situation. I've dealt with several animals passing & it seems each circumstance dictated different things. From a final shot, to laying on the floor with them while they passed to finding an old dog who was let out to go to the bathroom who walked a half block away curled up under a shady tree and had it's final sleep. All interesting takes, no right or wrong way.

	8:33am Listener Robert: The most interesting and sweet practice I ever saw at a vet's was one in Michigan who kept a cat in the waiting room as a greeter. He came over not only to all the people in the waiting room but also to their animals. Like to assure the animals that they were in a good place, among friends. And he was also their source for blood donations!

	♥ 8:52am love2laf: I would think that some of the many reasons to have owners there would be that your pet might be aware that you are there. And in the worst case scenario, be there for them at the end, or to make the call that the surgery is too extreme and make the call.

As each day passes, we don't know the level of pain they may be suffering from. It's the hardest thing to do...but it really is the best for them. From a final shot, to laying on the floor with them while they passed to finding an old dog who was let out to go to the bathroom who walked a half block away curled up under a shady tree and had it's final sleep. All interesting takes, no right or wrong way.

He came over not only to all the people in the waiting room but also to their animals. Like to assure the animals that they were in a good place, among friends. And he was also their source for blood donations!
