	💣 ♥ 4:12am tom tom the pipers son: my dad, who was a bit of a mystery man, did not tell many stories about himself, one he did tell was when he was stationed in hawaii during korean war, seemingly one of the happiest times of his life, and his troop stopped off at a lake to bathe... but when they got in the water, the soap didn't lather because it was salt water. my aunt, who he was close with, lives in hawaii now.

From playing in “controversial mixed race” bands in the mid 1940s to gigging with folks 50years his junior in his final playing days. Funny stories abt driving to gigs in stressy traffic and getting too late for weddings. As well as fellow (less experienced) musicians getting so nervous before gigs with nosebleeds and having diarrhea without being able to pull-off the highway. Etc etc.

His management just asked us to be ready for the two songs, be symettrical and have even numbers of each white costume and 1 Vader, invent our own dance routine and we can watch his show anytime when we weren't on. Afterwards, we did photos with him and he signed our stuff.

See his Discogs page! I definitely have faves (certainly The Homosexuals 3xCD box reissue is legendary & The Just Measurers Lp, etc). Wish I had found more of the cassettes when I had the chance.

	💣 ♥ 4:12am tom tom the pipers son: my dad, who was a bit of a mystery man, did not tell many stories about himself, one he did tell was when he was stationed in hawaii during korean war, seemingly one of the happiest times of his life, and his troop stopped off at a lake to bathe... but when they got in the water, the soap didn't lather because it was salt water. my aunt, who he was close with, lives in hawaii now.

From playing in “controversial mixed race” bands in the mid 1940s to gigging with folks 50years his junior in his final playing days. Funny stories abt driving to gigs in stressy traffic and getting too late for weddings. As well as fellow (less experienced) musicians getting so nervous before gigs with nosebleeds and having diarrhea without being able to pull-off the highway. Etc etc.

His management just asked us to be ready for the two songs, be symettrical and have even numbers of each white costume and 1 Vader, invent our own dance routine and we can watch his show anytime when we weren't on. See his Discogs page! I definitely have faves (certainly The Homosexuals 3xCD box reissue is legendary & The Just Measurers Lp, etc). Wish I had found more of the cassettes when I had the chance.
