So after Hawkestrel & a needed lunch break, I listened to this one , also on Purple Pyramid (disclaimer: I do not work for any label, band etc.) called The Prog Collective.

Members include: Alan Parsons, John Wetton, Tony Levin, Rick Wakeman, Chris Squire, Gary Green, Annie Haslam, Steve Hillage, John Wesley, Geoffrey Downes, Peter Banks, Larry Fast, Colin Moulding, Jerry Goodman, Richard Page, Tony Kaye, David Sancious.

Biography
Brainchild of Billy Sherwood, The Prog Collective was set up for the purpose of paying tribute to Progressive Rock of the 70s. Sherwood wrote and recorded 7 tracks later overdubbed by musicians coming from some of the most important groups of that genre (King Crimson, Yes, Renaissance, Gentle Giant, Gong).

Caravan: pretty much a top-notch prog/pop band in my book. In the late '70s, early '80s I listened to them on a daily basis.

Bruford was the original NH drummer. I remember strolling into Downey's Middle Earth Records. They were playing a bootleg of NH pre-first album. Bruford was drumming.

I've been around for a while for sure here at ol' FMU. I lived in Jersey City / NYC for about 8 years, so I used to volunteer there A LOT.
If you spend time on the Drummer Stream, you'll be seeing even more of me come March 27. My own show starts up on that date! Mondays 3-6pm.

Seemed he struggled to combine his musical career with his family life. Dave Mentioned how Bruford liked playing with Genesis because he could bring his wife. That wasn't always the case

This M & G similar to some early King Crimson albums, like 'Lizard.' 'In the Wake of Poseidon,' etc.

In prog VT since 1995 … left CT (where I could barely receive WFMU via standard radio waves!). Was an avid listener from 1982 -1995.
Can NOT believe it’s taken me this long to tap back into WFMU … the app & streaming services are beautifully designed and totally addictive !
