Interesting. Is there recordings anywhere? Biographies claim they formed early-90s so doesn't seem there's much record of their activity prior. BTW MBV was still called MBV in the mid-80s. Did you mean before they discovered their sound?

Michele, in case you didn't get the skinny, the Slut Magic lathe cut is from Leesta Vall, a Greenpoint label with a lathe press. They sent that disc to efd, who is friends with the band and has played them a bunch. Creek and Kills (K8's band) also did a Leesta Vall session and sent a 7" to the station (and to efd separately). Should be kicking around someplace.

I'm having a a good day, on account they're outside right now fixing a small section of roof over my bay windows that's been leaking every since I lived here. And when i say leak i mean multi streams of water that shift positions, which means if it's raining at night i have to stay awake to move the bucks/pots around to catch the water when the streams change positions. Not to mention when I'm out and rains i come back home to a huge puddle and water splash that's gotten everything around it soaking wet. Thank goodness that's will soon be at a end.

I went to the ophthalmologist this morning, and my eyes are just getting back to normal. Was not expectiong drops today. I just got new glasses, too! I had to choose froma limited, insurance approved stock, but I brought a fashion consultant and she picked out a nice pair.I've had bad eyes since I was 3, made worse by having a detatched retina a few years ago. What a pain in the eye.

That sounds about right. I once wore a pair for 15 years until one day one of the lenses popped out the frame and shattered on ceramic tile. That was the last time i had actual glass glasses.
